Message from the Principal

Big Piney High School
8/28/2025

Dear Parents and Guardians,

It is with great excitement that I introduce myself as the new principal of Big Piney High School. My name is Ron Urbin, and I am truly honored to be a part of this outstanding school and community.

A little about me—I grew up in Saratoga, Wyoming, and I have spent the past 16 years in education, including ten years in school leadership. I am married to my wife, Aimee, and we have three wonderful children: Dayna, who is beginning her freshman year of college, Landon, a high school sophomore, and Ava, who is starting sixth grade. As a family, we enjoy spending time outdoors, and I personally have a strong passion for sports and the outdoors.

The school year is already off to a great start. Our students and staff have been working hard, and there is a positive energy throughout the building. It has been inspiring to see the commitment, teamwork, and enthusiasm that make Big Piney High School such a special place.

I am genuinely excited for the opportunity to lead here at BPHS. My goal is to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families while working together to ensure every student has the support, encouragement, and opportunities they need to succeed. I believe deeply in the power of education to open doors and change lives, and I am committed to fostering a positive and safe learning environment where our students can grow both academically and personally.

As we move forward this year, I look forward to meeting you and working together to make this a great experience for all of our students. Please know that my door is always open, and I welcome your thoughts, questions, and ideas. Together, we can continue to build on the strong traditions of Big Piney High School while preparing our students for bright futures.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve your students and this community. I am excited for the year ahead and the memories we will create together.

Sincerely,
Ron Urbin
